TranS1® is currently developing two novel percutaneous implants using this same axial approach to preserve motion in the lumbar spine:
 |
PNR™: Percutaneous Nucleus Replacement
- Unique design which accommodates motion and translation within the normal physiologic range
- Preserves annulus, endplates, anterior and posterior longitudinal ligaments, therefore preserves all future surgical options
- Mitigates limitations and complications associated with an anterior approach
- Accommodates axial compressive loads (cushioning or dampening capacity)
PDR™: Percutaneous Disc Reconstruction
- TranS1® Percutaneous Access
- Endplate Sparing Nucleus Removal
- Distract and Hold Technology
- In-Situ Crosslinking Elastomer
- Shares advantages with PNR™, but adds additional structural support for patients with a greater degree of degeneration
